If you're a sportsman and are looking for action, Cynthiana and Harrison County are the place for you. We offer an abundant supply of wildlife throughout our area for your enjoyment. Whitetail Deer, wild turkey, quail and dove hunting along with  some of the finest fishing rivers and streams in Kentucky.

Harrison County has two rivers sitting in the historical Licking River Valley Region of Kentucky. The South Licking River runs right through Cynthiana and Berry, supplied by the many small creeks and tributaries in adjacent Bourbon County, KY. The North Licking River (main branch) runs through the eastern section of the county and is supplied by the cool waters of Cave Run Lake in Morehead, KY. Together they supply fresh waters for a variety of aquatic life. Large-mouth, Small-mouth, Kentucky Bass, Rock Bass (redeye's) along with Brim, Crappies and White Perch are there for the taking.
